POVERTY POCKETS

Implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, the project aims to contribute to the social and economic development through enhancing the role of the local community within poverty pockets’ areas.The project aims to contribute towards poverty alleviation through creating job opportunities, raising awareness, building capacities, increasing accessibility to microfinance and enhancing the socio-economic situations in these areas.

ZENID’S ROLE

To empower the local community through networking and building linkages with local organizations and institutions working in the targeted poverty pockets’ areas and improving the quality of social services in these areas.ZENID in partnership with the local community will establish medium enterprise that assists in generating income and job opportunities in the respective areas. In addition to running a micro credit scheme that targets new entrants to the local market and enhancing entrepreneurship.
