HISTORY

ZENID was established in 1994 by the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD). At the time, the aim of ZENID was to act as a training provider in the field of social development to build the capacities of JOHUD’s Community Development Centres.

However, ZENID’s range of programs and services expanded considerably, in response to a growing demand to increase the knowledge and skills of those involved in development work, both at the local and regional levels.

Today, ZENID provides support and capacity building for a variety of organisations and individuals, ranging from NGO’s, voluntary groups to governmental agencies, students and youth groups to women’s organisations and development practitioners. Through training, research, up-to-date techniques and consultations, ZENID is providing those involved in development with the tools, information and knowledge required to strengthen the development process.
