Economic Empowerment

Economic empowerment is the key factor in alleviating problems caused by poverty and unemployment as well as fostering self reliance. Since the early 1990’s and through JOHUD's 50 Community Development Centres, ZENID through various projects has contributed towards strengthening local resource management and improve the skills of individuals in order to develop more sustainable communities.

ZENID aims to identify ways that the poor, women and young people can become economically empowered by following JOHUD's approach of promoting self-reliance and building on the assets of the poor.
