The Database of Services for the Poor

The Database of Services for the poor brings together all the available information concerning the different services that poor and excluded people in Jordan are entitled to and may wish to claim. It is developed in a user friendly way, making it accessible to a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that they are aware of their rights and how to claim them.

The database was tested in three of JOHUD’s CDCs; Karak, Madaba and Jerash governorates. As a result, feedback from users was taken into consideration and the database can be implemented in other CDC’s across the country. The aim of this project is to enhance poor people’s access to services through the provision of information and the support of volunteers who can help clients process their claims. The database contributes to empowering poor and marginalised groups to become more active citizens who have a role to play in holding service providers accountable for the quality of services they deliver.
